<br />
I have listed a bunch of problems in earlier posts. The choices are going to be: Make it run, Fix the right front, Figure out the grinding in the transmission, or figure out where my coolant is going. My choice would be to try to first run it so I can figure out if there are going to be any more problems that are going to be needed to be fixed.BigMo1225http://www.blogger.com/profile/13286383316913894723noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6715397573811729111.post-79368746071850321282011-10-21T14:18:00.000-07:002011-10-21T14:18:27.740-07:00Results and other stuffSo the results are in even though I know there was more people that commented than there were that voted. But based upon the poll Asian manufacturers won. I am a big fan of Asian vehicles myself as I have said before. Onto another subject. I tried placing my car onto cinder blocks this week in the grass. It didn't go well at all. The jack I was using wasn't rolling like it is designed and it made the car start to slip off the jack. So no I have to clear out the garage to fit it in. This is going to be a long project because I have no idea where I am going to put all my stuff. If you have any ideas please let me know.BigMo1225http://www.blogger.com/profile/13286383316913894723noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6715397573811729111.post-62258272584293907532011-10-18T11:31:00.000-07:002011-10-18T11:31:21.711-07:00Getting The Car ReadySo this week I am going to be prepping the car to officially start work on it. There is a bunch of items I have to do so that way I can make some decent progress when I start. I have lift it up and I think the cheapest route to do this is going to be put it on some cinder blocks. I know it sounds redneck but that's what I have laying around. I also have to put some air in the tire that way I roll it better. Also it needs a really good cleaning. But I do have to give myself credit I have been washing the outside. Hopefully soon I will be able to get some pictures on soon. So stay tuned for more updates.BigMo1225http://www.blogger.com/profile/13286383316913894723noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6715397573811729111.post-57384704454210352132011-10-14T12:04:00.000-07:002011-10-14T12:04:33.052-07:00New Poll: Whats your favorite region of car manufacturer?I am making a poll today to see where your favorite manufacturer is located. If you don't see your region I am sorry. You can discuss your opinion down below if you want. I like Asian manufacturers because a lot of their vehicles are customizable and they are also fuel economical.BigMo1225http://www.blogger.com/profile/13286383316913894723noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6715397573811729111.post-87071093230001200272011-10-12T13:03:00.000-07:002011-10-12T13:03:04.757-07:00The ReasonSo I never really went over the reason why I chose a CRX. One is that the insurance is really cheap. My insurance payment was about 85 bucks a month with my given record. Two is that parts are really easy to come by. I mean I can almost go to any junk yard and pick up any used part from almost any Honda from the late 80's and it will be interchangeable. Three is it gets really good gas mileage. I get about 32 MPG which I think is pretty good. And last and definitely not least is that it can be customized to the max. There are many other reasons but those are my top four.BigMo1225http://www.blogger.com/profile/13286383316913894723noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6715397573811729111.post-66259364457105347742011-10-09T10:41:00.000-07:002011-10-09T10:41:31.306-07:00Whats Wrong: Part 6 - High IdleSo when I first bought the car after it was warmed it would cycle from 500 rpm to 1500 rpm. Its more annoying than anything. I don't think it is a major problem. I was driving one day and the guy before the guy I bought it from told me to just pull up on the gas pedal and it worked.BigMo1225http://www.blogger.com/profile/13286383316913894723noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6715397573811729111.post-24414341105031807462011-10-07T13:25:00.001-07:002011-10-07T13:25:35.881-07:00Another IdeaSo I have come across another idea. I think I may end up taking a loan out to complete the car so that way we can gt things moving a lot quicker. I know that this is going to be a long process but it will be worth it in the end. Let me know of your ideas.BigMo1225http://www.blogger.com/profile/13286383316913894723noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6715397573811729111.post-24518938614397905562011-10-04T14:18:00.000-07:002011-10-04T14:18:51.905-07:00Whats Wrong: Part 5 - StartingSo what happens is that every now and then it won't start. I think it may be the battery. But it has been sitting a long time now and when I hook up the jump pack the starter doesn't even click over. So what I believe it may be is the starter.BigMo1225http://www.blogger.com/profile/13286383316913894723noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6715397573811729111.post-7193983055073567502011-10-01T08:40:00.001-07:002011-10-01T08:40:40.609-07:00Whats Wrong: Part 4 - The WindshieldSo there is a giant crack in my windshield. It first started as a small crack but when it got colder out the crack became bigger. Then at one point it just cracked across the entire windshield. That I have no choice but to replace the windshield.BigMo1225http://www.blogger.com/profile/13286383316913894723noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6715397573811729111.post-61150435976082238272011-09-29T14:05:00.000-07:002011-09-29T14:05:52.648-07:00Whats Wrong: Part 3 - The TransmissionSo first of all I don't think this is a problem but it may be one. Actually it is more than 1 issue. The first is that I broke the shifter knob right off going into reverse. So reverse is hard to get into place. Also when I shift down to 2nd gear grinds a tiny bit. I don't know if these are problems at all. It just a couple of concerns that I have about it.BigMo1225http://www.blogger.com/profile/13286383316913894723noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6715397573811729111.post-2286445566366540992011-09-27T14:36:00.000-07:002011-09-27T14:36:49.669-07:00Whats Wrong: Part 2So the next item that I have wrong is that I am losing coolant. I put it in and like a week later it is all gone. At first I thought it might just be a leak but there is never anything under the car after it has been sitting. I did some research and I found out that it could possibly be the heater core. So I think that is what I am going to try to replace for the coolant problem.BigMo1225http://www.blogger.com/profile/13286383316913894723noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6715397573811729111.post-21890751732834557362011-09-25T17:34:00.000-07:002011-09-25T17:34:44.917-07:00Whats wrong: Part 1So over the next couple of days or so I am going to go over what is wrong with the car. Then at the end I am going to add poll and ask what I should work on first. So the first problem that I have is that there is a major grinding in the right front. It started with the car pulling majorly to the right. I was going to get the alignment checked but the car is so low to the ground and I couldn't find anyone with a lift that could lift my car so I didn't get one. After about a couple of months it started grinding so I had to go get a loan to buy a used car. At this point I think it may need a CV shaft rebuild kit. Which isn't that hard to do. Plus all the work that I will be doing to the car I will be doing it myself.BigMo1225http://www.blogger.com/profile/13286383316913894723noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6715397573811729111.post-78422292162955608652011-09-24T15:41:00.000-07:002011-09-24T17:59:13.858-07:00The start of it all.So I have a 1989 Honda CRX and I am not entirely sure on what to do with it. There are many things that are wrong with it. I want to get it back on the road soon but I figured it would be fun to have people vote on what to do next.BigMo1225http://www.blogger.com/profile/13286383316913894723noreply@blogger.com2
